About me

Counselling & Psychotherapy:
Since 2000 I have trained in person-centred counselling, in gestalt psychotherapy, CBT, sensorimotor therapy/trauma and as a creative supervisor. In 2015 I started to study Jin Shin energy medicine with Dr. Stephanie Mines. Her synthesis of neuroscience and applied touch appeals to me. I have a deep interest in finding non-invasive interventions to stabilize the nervous system as I frequently address trauma in my work. I am interested in the role of early attachment and bonding in shaping the wiring of the brain and in how shock and trauma can be treated in a gentle way. Currently, I work one day a week in the Counselling in Primary Care Service for the HSE, known as CIPC. Otherwise, I work in private practice as a counsellor/psychotherapist and supervisor.

Areas of experience:
Anxiety/Panic attacks, Stress Management, Depression, Bullying, Crises Intervention, Domestic Violence, Addiction, Co-Dependency, Bereavement/Loss, Shame Issues, Eating Disorders, Relationship Issues, Life Transitions, Trauma, Abuse, Gender/ Sexuality, Personal Development, Spirituality.
